My very first Chinese meal! I struggled a bit to find the ingredients, I didn’t like everything I did but I think I did pretty well! =) I don’t know why but Chinese soups attract me and yet I’ve never made one or even eaten one. So, this was the opportunity to jump in! I honestly found it very good. Asian food is such a model for everyone. why deprive yourself?

So, for this delicious and low-calorie soup, find out the ingredients.

Table of Contents

For 4 people, you need

  • 2 chicken breasts

  • 1 tablespoon of oil

  • 1 onion, chopped

  • 1 carrot

  • 100 g of bean sprouts

  • 80 cl of chicken stock

  • 1 tablespoon of cornstarch

  • a few drops of Tabasco

  • 1 tablespoon of soy sauce

  • 125 g Chinese noodles

  • 3 or 4 black mushrooms

  • salt and pepper

First, slice the chicken breasts. Peel the carrot and cut it into sticks. Then, peel the onion and cut it into strips.

In a casserole or wok, pour a tablespoon of oil and brown the chicken, onion and carrot.

Once lightly browned, pour 80cl of chicken broth. Add 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, 4-5 drops of Tabasco, mix and let heat for 15 minutes.

Meanwhile, cook the Chinese noodles or soften them in cold water and rehydrate the black mushrooms.

After 15 minutes, add mushrooms, Chinese noodles, bean sprouts and season to taste. Let heat for other 5-10 minutes.

Being very late with my other dishes, the soup took much longer than 30 minutes in total! This does not alter the final result, though!
