Chicken in sweet and sour sauce

A very simple and typical Asian meal!

For this recipe, you need

  • 3 large tablespoons of tomato coulis

  • 6 tablespoons of vinegar

  • 3 teaspoons of Worcestershire sauce

  • 6 tablespoons of sugar
  • 2 nice chicken filets

  • 1 egg

  • 1 teaspoon of cornstarch

  • 1 onion

  • 1 bell pepper

  • 1 can of pineapple (for those who like it really sweet and sour, personally I left           the pineapple out!)

  • salt, pepper

Start by making the sweet and sour sauce. In a bowl, mix 3 large tablespoons of tomato coulis, 6 tablespoons of vinegar, 3 teaspoons of English sauce and 6 tablespoons of sugar. Set aside.

Marinate the minced chicken for 30 minutes in a beaten egg mixed with 1 teaspoon of cornstarch.

After half an hour, cook the chicken in a frying pan or wok with 2 tablespoons of oil and set aside.

Brown the minced onion and bell pepper in a pan or wok with 1 tablespoon of oil. Add the chicken, and if you like, some pineapple pieces. Add the sweet and sour sauce and it's ready!

I'm not a fan of sweet and salty, so next time I'll do it without pineapple. For those who are afraid that the proportion of sugar in the sauce is too much, not at all, the sauce is really not sweet!
